Considering the most common reason why people attend a gym is to lose weight, don't be surprised if your clients ask you how they can adopt a healthy diet or lose weight. Gaining knowledge about diet and nutrition will enable you to offer your clients enhanced services to improve their likelihood of eating healthily and losing weight.
Course
content:
This course will teach you to:
Describe the various nutrients and how they contribute to health
Devise dietary plans for pre- and post-exercise, and weight management
Evaluate the effects that different types of diet can have on the body
Develop nutritional goals and motivational strategies for your clients
Understand the role of the digestive system as part of a healthy body
Format:
Two days plus assessment or;
As part of the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
Entry Requirements and Target Candidates
Candidates must be over 16 and have a level 2 Fitness Instructor / Exercise To Music Qualification
Suitable for gym instructors wishing to pursue a career in the health and fitness sector as personal trainers
